It’s difficult to believe it’s a month since L and I travelled to Nice (via Corsica!) in anticipation of the Twynhams Monaco F1 Tour.
And what a tour !
We have done little else but describe every day and every detail to everyone we’ve met since returning. In doing so, it’s made us realise, and fully appreciate, just how great it was and how it generated so many memories that will stay with us for life,
Many thanks to you, Dan, Tim and ‘Classic Car Rich’ for such a wonderful programme, excellent organisation and …perfect care throughout, especially shown to Linda on the hairpins.
We made several new friends throughout the week and hope to meet some of them again …T and C got extremely close to us, although they claimed that was a carpet/brake issue !
Thanks again and we will certainly look at other Twynhams Tours in the future.

Mille Miglia 2026 Tour

Mille Miglia 2026 Tour
Hello Matt, Great Mille Miglia tour- our second Twynham’s event in as many years!
Amazing contrasts all week: modern Ferraris mixed with pre-war racers ripping past the sidewalk cafés, crowds waving, flags flying.
Plaza shop windows with the latest fashions reflecting the pastel colors of ancient buildings and cobblestone squares.
The food: famed prosciutto, finest cheeses, fresh-baked breads- and the wine.. Beautiful mountaintop farm lunch where balsamic is an art form. The outdoor dining– great weather, perfect street settings, and chances to chat with our group at day’s end.
The lodging fit the activities; the modern waterfront hotel was a good match for our boat ride in the historic Riva classic lake cruisers. Very welcoming folks! And Parma’s grand hotel on the old town square was a comfortable base for the second half of our tour, complete with tolling church bells.
The tours of the epic manufacturers- Ferrari displays from old to new, our first test drive with our enthusiastic instructor: 'Go!-Go!-Go!' He didn’t have to ask twice. We’re now checking Ferrari California prices- thanks, Matt...
Lamborghini’s beautiful showroom displayed the height of supercar style from the ‘60’s to today. Pagani’s ultra-futuristic designs combined with old school by-hand assembly; one car, one craftsman at a time- another delightful contrast.
And always back to the Mille Miglia cars running through city streets close enough to touch- just ask the busy café waiters carrying orders across the town squares. From the old photos at the delightful Nuvolari Museum, it’s always been that way.
Our group, intercepting the race at strategic points got to compare the early days’ exuberance of the racers and passengers with their days-later determination to make it to the finish- (are we there yet?) but still smiling all the way. Us too!
A hat tip to our coach drivers – comfortable rides, well-driven, and reliable every day. And thanks again to you and to Laurence, who did a great job as guide as well as being a fellow race fan. What more can we say, Matt- great trip, highly recommended!

Just a word about our experience with the LeMans 2026 Tour. First off and foremost, a hearty "Thank You!" "Our tour was absolutely wonderful in every respect!"
Understand that as a racer since my youth, seeing LeMans has been on the "to do" list for many, many years. Over those years we considered simply seeing it with a good pair of shoes and a backpack, but with age those plans changed. I have a large group of mates that originally showed interest in taking a tour, but when the real plan came together there were only five of us. I have always been the guy that everyone leans toward to put the plan in place. So, locating and committing to any one tour company was a complete gamble, and commitment. I searched for almost 6 months online. Twynhams won the bid, and what a fantastic decision it was!
Your staff, especially Tim, would clearly do anything to make each of us comfortable along the way. The accommodations, the tour bus, the amenities, each specialty, the parade, the hospitality tent, grid walk, helicopter ride, and the dinner were each so perfect! Our group was another ideal fit Each of us were obviously motorheads and got along perfectly! The size was ideally intimate.
Matthew, if there was only one suggestion that I could make, it would be this: Although I am not a vegetarian, my wife is. And after thirty years of marriage, I have a lite appetite. Could I suggest maybe one "lite" option to the meals that are served. In saying this, I understand that as a company you are at the mercy of your location, France, Italy, ect. This is just my own personal issue. Everyone else seemed to get along fine with the French cuisine. While having lunch in the hospitality tent, the waiter asked if I would care for a veggie plate instead. He then came out with a wonderful plate of sliced tomatoes and fruit. It was very well received indeed!
I have attached three photos which highlight a culmination of my entire lifelong love of racing. They also represent "Twynhams Tour Company" and what you offer. Matthew, your company took "all" of the red tape out of our plans. It made our experience streamline and simple. These photos will hang on my wall for years to come! Every one of us have already committed to a second tour with your company in 2028! Remember us, because we will be back! "Hat's off to you and all of the Twynhams staff!"

I just wanted to send an email saying what an amazing experience my son and I had.
Tim and Dan were amazing, they are a credit to the company. Tim really looked after us, answered all our questions, and was great with my son. So much so that when we were in the Paddock Tim was spotting drivers for H to speak to and get their pictures. By the end of the trip H was asking Tim how to work for your company when he's older. Usually, it's a racing driver or nothing so it was nice to see him asking some career questions.
H decided to do the full experience and stay up for the entire 24-hour race instead of returning to the hotel with the others. That was pretty cool, we were in the Paddock at 3 a.m. soaking up the atmosphere and on the ferris wheel at 3:30am.
It was an experience we'll never forget. When people asked about it today at work you can't really explain the feeling of Le Mans; it's not just a car race, you have to experience it. I still have adrenaline from the race and the experience, knowing a dream came true for me and the way I did it with Twynhams Tours just made it all the better.
The group was great, J and R were the life of the group, and Bill and Pam were also wonderful. They all made H feel welcome and not out of place which was nice.
Good luck with your upcoming events. I'll hopefully be back one day once I sell a kidney or two, haha.

I just wanted to say thanks again, the trip was well beyond our expectations even before the helicopter ride into Monaco (that was something I’ll never forget). You, Tim and the rest of the team looked after us incredibly well. I think we were really lucky to have such a great group of fellow guests too. It was lovely to chat with everyone. All we have to do now is to work out how to join another of your trips at some point in the future.

Goodwood Revival 2025 Tour - 4 Night Tour
Hello to Matthew and Tim of Twynhams Tours-
Didn’t see an online request for us to review our recent 2025 Goodwood Revival Tour, so thought we’d write to you directly. B and I were smiling from the first minute of the first day! The surprise dinner was a great start and an excellent introduction to all of our fellow group members. Wish we’d thought to initiate a ‘What’s App’- style online group so that we could all share photos- maybe next time. Brooklands Hotel was a solid base- comfortable, modern, with a welcoming bar- all vital ingredients. The luxury coaches to the track and back were comfortable and expertly piloted, though the onboard coffee service was a little spotty… ha.
Goodwood outdid itself on every score! We thought everyone did an admirable job of keeping a stiff upper lip regarding the weather changes, though a heads-up on packing a pair of Wellingtons might have been helpful to us sunny southern Californians. The cars and bikes on track, around the Revival grounds and even in the car parks were all beyond expectation. And for the fashionistas, 1940’s to 1960’s style, we enjoyed every minute.
Though the Belmond Pullman train day required a crack-of-dawn start, it was beyond worth it. (Besides, with our time change from the States, we had no idea what time it was, anyway). It was true history on the RR tracks from first champagne greeting in the morning to last after dinner drink. And the Belmond folks were pure pros in every way, handling the train re-routing and accompanying coach pickups seamlessly.
Finally, the day at Goodwood’s Village Hall was pure genius- dedicated covered grandstands, excellent food and drink, nearby track views out the windows even in the spitting rain, TV coverage if you wanted it, and a proper live town band playing in the background, Sgt. Pepper style! You lot should be congratulated on all the planning that went into the tour, along with the hands-on management that made it work every day.
B and I finished off our stay in Brooklands with a visit to Mercedes Benz World, whose collection ranging from antiques to modern F1 cars was well worth the walk from the Brooklands Hotel. And if you haven’t picked up on it yet, we had a great adventure with you all. We would heartily recommend your Goodwood Revival Tour to everyone that shares our enthusiasm for the people, the cars and the heritage that make Motorsport worth celebrating! Hi Matt, I can’t believe that it’s a week since we were waking up on race day, anticipating what to us was a new experience. I’ve been to car races, bike endurance racing in Europe and all sorts of other motorsport events but Daytona was something else!And celebrating my birthday with breakfast at the Hard Rock Hotel, lunch at Orlando airport and dinner at 36,000 feet above the Atlantic was another unique event for me. Had hoped to say a proper thank-you and goodbye this morning, but two days of the Goodwood Revival and the Brits just totally whipped the wimpy Americans. I don’t want to tell you what time it was when we woke up! The tour and the event met all expectations. Yesterday with the paddock access, Assembly Rooms presentation (how much fun watching the Woodcote turn racing from out the windows), and Shell Grandstand was the topper. Will be spreading the Twynhams good word to all our car aficionado friends and look forward to some future tour adventures at Le Mans, Silverstone, and the Mille.

Hi Matt, I just wanted to say thankyou for a fabulous weekend away at the Belgian GP. This was a Christmas present to myself and G as we both had "significant" birthdays last year. I was really nervous beforehand, but didn't need to be at all, the whole weekend was very well organised, our hosts were very friendly and available as required, the hotel was comfy and good food, and coach transfers spot on. As for the race, omgosh - when we arrived sat mornin and I caught a first glimpse of eau rouge I had tears in my eyes, and then feeling the sound of the cars as they flew past - I felt them in my bones. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at spa, it was literally a dream come true, the attached photos - pure joy So, thankyou and Kim and Tim again for helping my dreams to come true, I wouldn't hesitate to revisit or book a different trip and would happily recommend to everyone

Good morning Matt, Belatedly, I'm afraid, this is to thank you and Tim - indeed all your team - from D and me for a terrific excursion. To say that there was never a dull moment would be a gross understatement. Your whole programme was immaculately planned, down to the smallest significant detail, and executed with great style and in considerable comfort; the hotel, the wonderful trackside venues, the restaurants, the private transfers and your excellent coaches and drivers. To cap it all, you and Tim were delightful hosts, apparently effortlessly, while doubtless having 101 other things on your minds simultaneously. And full marks to the Provence Classics team for their immaculate cars and much - appreciated support. That was a great day, along with race day itself. So much better to arrive by helicopter for that.

Battle of Britain Tour 2022
I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you once again for another outstanding tour. So many wonderful and thought provoking unique experiences made for an aviation tour that was second to none. You managed to include so many experiences and activities that both informed and entertained without feeling rushed or ‘packaged’, culminating on the final day with the experience to beat all experiences! I knew I was getting a Spitfire flight but on the day to discover that it was in formation for take off and part of the flight was truly fantastic. To look out of the canopy and see not only that iconic elliptical wing but another Spitfire flying in close formation that you felt you could almost reach out and touch it sent a shiver down my spine. I imagined those brave young men doing the same thing day after day all those years ago and not knowing if they were coming back! To take control of the aircraft and perform a few manoeuvres followed by a loop, barrel rolls and wing overs before getting back into formation for a blast over the airfield was the thickest icing on the biggest cake imaginable. The dinner in the RAF Club will forever stay in my memory for the wonderful setting and food but also as the point in time when I learnt of the sad passing of Her Majesty The Queen RIP. As usual, thanks go out to Tim for his first class driving of Thunderbird 2 and everything else he did to make the B of B tour another unforgettable experience. I was also impressed with the tour guides at Uxbridge, Hendon and the ARCo hanger for being so knowledgeable on their subjects yet so much younger (than me!). It’s good to know that passion for history is not being lost with the passing of the older generations. Since I have been home there have been a few Spitfires fly overhead, from Headcorn usually, now I can look up and not wonder what it would be like, I know as I have done it! Thanks once again for an outstanding experience, I am not sure that I have come down just yet, John is probably still up at Angels 15!

WOW what an experience and fabulous trip from start to finish. It all went so smoothly, we couldn’t have been looked after any better by you and your team. Nothing was too much trouble, even when we realised we didn’t have our plugs, so Kim loaned us her one. There was always someone around or at the end of a telephone if we needed anything. The hotel was fabulous, the room was brilliant, the food was amazing. The staff at the hotel worked very hard to look after so many guests. I would look to take this opportunity to thank you and our two guides (Nik and Eddie)in fact the whole team were awesome. My group were super impressed with the organisation of the trip from beginning to end. The hotel and staff were brilliant considering the sudden influx of people after each day and the food was so good no one wanted the go elsewhere to eat. The coach drivers were also extremely good (Mohamed in particular, who went above and beyond to get us back when there had been an accident on the motorway). The level of service throughout the day was superb. As a wheel chair user I naturally put extra demands upon staff but nothing was too much . We’re sitting at Caen waiting to board the ferry after what has been a truly fabulous tour! We missed you but understand that you can’t be in two places at the same time! However, you’ve found an absolute star in Tim, he was brilliant, very knowledgeable & helpful throughout, always greeting us with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble. Michael was fab too, we felt very safe & well looked after in their capable hands. We loved Le Mans track & the hospitality suite was great, a superb vantage point & base to meet up. We’ve met some lovely people & we have had great fun, lots of happy memories. We liked The Moulin du Pont d’Iverny, appreciating its French rustic charm, our room was delightful as was its host. Dambusters Tour 2022
I just want to thank you once again for an absolutely fabulous Dambusters Tour 2022. The whole experience far exceeded my expectations, the comprehensive amount of extra historical knowledge of the raid and Bomber Command that was shared with us by the extremely knowledgable Dr Robert Owen was fantastic. The taxi-ride (taxy-ride?) was both tremendous and humbling when you consider how those young men went to war in that machine. Unfortunately Lady Luck was not on my side and I didn’t get to ride as ’Tail End Charlie', the ace of spades trumped my four of clubs! But it was still a wonderful experience. The transport, activities, locations, accommodation and food were all first class.Your attention to detail in the planning and execution of the tour was second to none, leaving me coming away from an experience that I will never forget. So much in so few days but without ever feeling rushed or ‘packaged’ - superb. Thank you very much for a wonderful trip. I’m now looking forward to the next tour!

We have just returned from this year’s race and it was one of the best holidays we have ever had. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we could not have been looked after any better, or more professionally, by Matt and Tim. They were both first class. This trip has everything that you could possibly want, a day on a luxury yacht, a helicopter flight to Monaco, a day watching Formula 1 from a track side yacht with an evening party to follow, a day of wonderful classic car driving & the Grand Prix itself from one of the best locations where you can see so much of the track from the comfort of Twynham’s private balcony. The hotel, the restaurants and food provided throughout were also excellent. We are now looking at booking another trip with Twynham’s Tours. Thank you, a first class experience & worth every penny!

We had a great weekend at Silverstone for the First round of British Superbikes hosted by Twynhams Tours. As soon as we arrived, we were well looked after by Matt, Tim and the whole team. The Brooklands hospitality suite was great with an excellent view of Brooklands Corner at the bottom of Wellington Straight we were able to watch all of the action from balcony and it was never too crowded even though the suite was full on Sunday. Food and drink were great, service was very attentive, and the facilities were clean and well managed. We were sat on a table with two father and son groups, and they were great company. We had an excellent time and will booking again.

D-Day Tour 2021
A visit to the D-day Beaches has always been on our to do list. The biggest question was, do it ourselves or trust somebody to do it for us? We are a small group of avid travelers and in the past we’ve basically arranged everything ourselves but this time we thought we will probably need help to ensure that we saw everything that was of interest. The Internet is fantastic for researching tour companies but it does present a lot of opportunity for error so I am happy to report that our choice of Twynhams Tours was nothing like an error. The information we received pre-the tour was extremely clear, helpful and professional. Then the tour itself. From our first meeting with Matt Twynham everything went perfectly. The visits to HMS Belfast and Chartwell were fantastic and this was followed by an uneventful journey on Eurostar. The Château we stayed at in Bayeux was excellent and from here we had a momentous, very moving and fabulously well organised visit to every Beach, Monument, Museum and Cemetery that was available. The helicopter flight over the beaches was an inspiration and gave a fantastic perspective of the size of area the invasion covered. The whole experience was brought alive by our guide Diane without whom I am certain we would’ve missed lots of interesting areas. Must not forget Matt and Tim who ensured that we arrived at the appointed places on time and took us to fabulous restaurants and just made sure everything went well. We didn’t have to do anything-sheer bliss! This trip took place in September so we had no problem with crowds or our ability to get close to everything which I believe is not necessarily the case in June. We may have missed the reenactors, who are there during June, but we think the visit without crowds is probably the best time to go. We cannot recommend Twynhams Tours too highly and we look forward to availing ourselves of their services in the future on another organised tour.

Goodwood Revival 2021 Tour
We have had the most amazing trip - thank you! We really appreciate the thought and planning that went into the programme to make it such a special trip. The train was a very special experience - their good and service is exceptional. And Goodwood was so much fun. What an atmosphere! Tim was an excellent tour guide and such a nice person too! We've had some great chats with him this past few days. He was also very attentive in making sure Dad was taken care of, for which I am very grateful. I am sure it was an added stress to have an elderly, immobile guest but we never felt that anything was too much trouble. Please make sure to pass on our sincere thanks. We met some interesting people and got to know some of them really well. I am sure we will be keeping in touch! So thank you for creating a special tour and we are looking forward to seeing your range of UK tours for 2022!

"We recently joined Matt and his team for five nights for the 2019 Monaco GP. Our expectations of the tour were not only exceeded but we were absolutely blown away at the value for money of this tour. From the moment we heard the Formula One engines while sitting on a luxury yacht in the Monaco Harbour we were hooked, and it just kept getting better. We especially enjoyed driving the vintage cars through Nice and Monaco – this was definitely one of the highlights for us. We felt like we had every need met and Matt’s attention to detail in the planning of the tour – from the meals, choice of wines, transfers, hotel - ensured everyone on the tour could focus on having a great time and we surely did that! Battle of Britain Tour 2019
I bet it seems like a long time ago to you, but it is still very fresh in my mind and I wanted to drop you an email to say thanks again for a memorable five days. The whole experience, from the first moment to the last, was tremendous. As I said at the final dinner, you achieve a balance between a very professional approach and a friendly one, and that is not easy to do. The ‘hands on’ approach you deliver works very well, in my view. It meant that if anyone had a query you were on hand to answer it and your positive attitude throughout was commendable and contributed to everyone’s enjoyment. You set your bar high. Your standards are high and, while the costs reflect that, the tour is value for money. It delivers an experience that none of us will ever forget. The programme is good as it builds toward the climax of the flight in the Spitfire and Rapide. And our group was particularly lucky with the filming for next year’s Battle of Britain TV programme giving us an added bonus of more flying activity on the Monday afternoon. ARC also made us very welcome and the two apprentice engineers who showed us round were a credit to the company, as were those other engineers who were happy to answer our questions. Speaking of other people, the mix of our tour group worked well and the good companionship added to the whole experience (I hope for your sake that something similar occurs with all your tours).

Although the weather was not kind to us every effort was made to make the day a success, luckily the rain held off while the engine runs and taxi runs were completed outside. I recently attended Twynham’s D-Day 75th Anniversary Tour and let me say it was phenomenal. You can’t ask for a better host than Matt. His coordination and planning were beyond approach and was evident throughout our journey. Matt put together a well planned, well executed, tour that included the major military events, locations and commemoration ceremonies. He earned my trust from our very first conversation 11 months before the tour, and only reaffirmed it with each interaction. I wanted to take my wife to her first Grand Prix for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. I booked with Matt at Twynham Tours as it took all the hassle out of booking tickets, transport, parking, accommodation etc separately. From first contact Matt was friendly and helpful, his attention to detail was superb and he sorted out any little niggles with the venue smoothly and efficiently.
